Sleep apnea is a disorder. It is caused due to the problems occur in the respiratory system when sleeping. This disorder is common for adults. But it is less common for children. Apnea is for a particular time period, the person’s breathing is stopped or reduced. In that time period, the air flow is completely gets stopped. The time period is from ten seconds or little more. The symptoms of this disease are irritability, headache, fatigue, poor memory and poor attention. Treatment for this disease is taken through surgery. For some persons, surgery is not needed. In those cases, doctors are advised to change the patient’s behavior, dental changes and some medications. Behavioral changes like avoid TV at bed time, reduce the amount of light and noise at bed time, etc.
