Echinococcus is an infection mostly occurs in the liver. Due to this infection, cysts may form. These cysts may also get its occurrence in the bones, kidney, lungs, muscles, brain and spleen. This infection is exposed to the cattle, pigs, some varieties of goats, deer and dogs. When the cysts formed in the liver, it does not show any symptoms to be visible. The symptoms are not visible up to 20 years. But when the cysts are formed in other parts like brain, it shows its effect immediately. The symptoms are fever, cough, itching occurs on the skin and the pain occur in the upper part of the abdomen and chest. Doctors start the diagnosis with the help of CT scan, X-rays, blood test and liver function tests. Cysts are removed by surgery.
