Acromegaly

Acromegaly is a hormone disorder. It is caused due to the growth of unnecessary hormones. It leads to the extra ordinary size of the body tissues. Especially tissues in the face, jaw, hand and feet face this problem. It mostly affects the person who is in the middle age. Symptoms of this disease may change from person to person. It depends on the duration of the disease. Most common symptoms are swelling hands and feet. Other symptoms are enlargement of nose, lip, tongue, heart and other important organs. At extreme cases, it leads to diabetes, hyper tension and cancer.
