You are more likely to have the kidney stones, if have a family history of it. Kidney stones are the solid particles formed in the kidney due to the dissolved urinary minerals. Here are some tips to prevent kidney stone formation.

The simplest way to keep urine clear is by drinking plenty of water. It has been recommended by the doctors to drink nearly eight to ten glasses of water per day. Food rich in fiber should be included in your diet list.

The fiber rich items are oats, beans and vegetables such as carrot and cabbage. Foods such as chocolates, nuts and dark green vegetables, which are rich in oxalate, must be completely avoided. Sometimes the kidney stones can be dissolved with the help of the medicines.

Maximum stones are formed from calcium. These stones cannot be dissolved by taking medication. However, it can prevent from getting bigger or further formation of new calcium stones. Hence, the best method to prevent the kidney stones is by taking a lot of fluids.
