Running is one of the best ways to keep you fit. There are many things that you need to take care of before you wear your sneakers and go out for a run. Sure it is the best form of exercise, but if you do that in a wrong way, you might end up injuring your body. Keep these simple things before you begin to jog. How you hold your head is the key to overall posture, which determines how efficiently you run. Look ahead naturally when you run, not down at your feet and scan the horizon. This will straightens your back and neck and bring them to alignment. Shoulders play an important role in making the upper body to relax during running. Keep your shoulders low and loose and not high and tight. Do not let them to creep up towards your ears as this will makes the muscles around the shoulders to become tighten. Your arms need to be in correct position while running. Keep your hands in an unclenched fist, with your fingers lightly touching your palms. Your arms should swing mostly forewords and back, not across your body, between the waist and lower chest level. The position of torso while running is affected by the position of your head and shoulders. Proper portion of torso helps your hips too are in the proper position. Do follow all these to ensure good running.
